Militants said plotting oil sector sabotage arrested in Saudi Arabia
(3/24/2010 - OGI: Dubai) Saudi Arabia has arrested approximately 50 Saudi citizens and dozens of Yemenis said to have been planning wide-ranging attacks on the oil sector infrastructure in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Sources said today that the pre-emptive arrests were made in the southern province of Jazan near the Yemeni border, where the alleged militants were found with stores of explosives including bomb belts that were said to have been intended for use in suicide attacks.
